Wider Possibilities CIC has its key focus around empowering people to improve mental health, emotional health and wellbeing, resilience and self-confidence to promote healthier, self-sustaining communities.
Wider Possibilities CIC focus on bringing about successful outcomes for targeted communities with identified needs. We do this by encouraging and empowering people to make a sustainable, positive, social and economic contribution.
The not for profit organisation has a number of aims around health, wellbeing, resilience, creating peer support networks, building confidence and self-esteem to promote healthier, self-sustaining communities by empowering the people in them.
Our pledge is:
To improve the health and wellbeing of children and young people enabling them to lead more positive, safer, happier, and healthier lives
To support parents/carers to more effectively engage with their children to improve the health and wellbeing of the family
To engage with educational establishments and other stakeholders to support them in delivering high-quality programmes aimed at improving outcomes for children, young people and families
To upskill and inspire people to be physically, emotionally, mentally and socially healthy to contribute to more independent, economically proactive and self-sustaining communities
To improve effective communication, confidence, positive behaviours, self-esteem and resilience in those that we work with, empowering them to be the best version of themselves
To provide positive, inclusive and accessible opportunities to learn new skills, gain knowledge and explore new experiences in safe environments
To promote capacity building and independence in the work we do by inspiring and nurturing co-production and the development of new and sustainable social enterprises
To raise awareness of available support networks, options and services and increase confidence and skills so that people can access appropriate help and guidance when they need it.
